- Greetings.
-
- I have finally decided to get a V.34, 28.8 Kbps modem for my
- 68030-equipped 2000.
-
- The Supra V.34 supports firmware upgrades and is cheaper (commonly less
- than $200 in stores in the Los Angeles area).
-
- From what I have read, the USRobotics Sportster is supposed to have the
- best connectivity (even allowing higher transfers speeds with some
- manufacturers' modems than when they connect to others of their own type),
- but I have read of problems when used with GPFax. Also, the version which
- supports upgrading the firmware via loading a file is considerably more
- expensive.
-
-
- I would like to hear from people who have any experience, good or bad,
- with either unit.
